🔍 Why Was My Article Removed From the Queue?
Articles can be removed from your publisher queue for several reasons. Understanding these will help you avoid unexpected removals in the future and know what steps to take when it happens.
- Timeout or inactivity: If an article is accepted but not submitted within the required timeframe, the system automatically removes it from your queue to keep content moving.
- Client cancellation: The client may have cancelled or paused their campaign, which triggers the release of any pending articles.
- Reassignment by the platform: Search Atlas may reassign articles to meet publisher or client requirements, such as niche relevance or domain metrics.
- Quality or eligibility change: If your publisher profile or site metrics changed since you accepted the article, the system may have flagged it for reassignment.
⏱️ What Deadlines Should I Be Aware Of?
Once an article appears in your queue, you are expected to publish it within the timeframe shown in your publisher dashboard. Missing this window is the most common reason articles are removed. Always check the deadline displayed next to each assigned article and prioritise publication accordingly.
- Log in to your publisher account regularly to monitor active assignments.
- If you anticipate a delay, act quickly — articles are removed automatically once the deadline passes.
- Keeping your site details and niche information up to date reduces the chance of eligibility-related removals.
🔄 How to Request Reassignment of a Specific Article
If an article was removed from your queue and you believe it should be reassigned to you, follow these steps:
- Note your Publisher ID and the Article ID (for example, Publisher #118088 — Article #205052). You can find both in your publisher dashboard under your account details and order history.
- Open the chat widget in the bottom-right corner of the platform and type human teammate to be instantly connected with a member of our team.
- Provide your Publisher ID and Article ID and explain that you are requesting reassignment.
- Our team will check the article's current status and reassign it if it is available and you remain eligible.
Note: Reassignment is not guaranteed. If the article has already been assigned to another publisher or the campaign has been paused, our team will let you know and explore alternatives.
📬 How to Request a New Article Assignment
If the original article cannot be reassigned, you can request a different article that matches your site's niche and metrics. Here is how:
- Log in to your Search Atlas publisher account.
- Check the Available Opportunities section in your dashboard — new articles are added regularly and you may find a suitable match there immediately.
- If nothing fits your niche, contact our team via the chat widget (see above) and request a manual match. Share your site URL, niche, and any relevant domain metrics so the team can find the best fit quickly.
✅ Tips to Prevent Articles From Being Removed
A few simple habits will keep your queue active and help you maintain a strong publisher reputation on the platform:
- Publish promptly: Aim to publish well before the deadline, not on the last day.
- Keep your profile current: Update your site URL, niche categories, and domain metrics whenever they change.
- Monitor your dashboard daily: Assignments and deadlines can appear at any time.
- Communicate early: If you foresee a delay, reach out via the chat widget before the deadline — not after.
