๐Ÿ” Team Members: Buying Citations with Hyperdrive Credits

Last updated on Oct 26, 2026

๐Ÿ“Œ Overview

Local citations are online listings of your business name, address, and phone number on directories and other websites. They help search engines trust your business details. In Search Atlas, you pay for citations with Hyperdrive credits. This article explains how Team Members can buy citations and what to check if the credit balance on screen is not what you expected.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ How Credits Work for Team Members

Hyperdrive credits belong to the main account, not to individual users. Team Members spend from the same shared pool as the account owner. Keep these points in mind:

  • Your credit balance reflects what is available to the account you are currently working in.
  • The balance goes down whenever anyone on the team uses credits, including the owner and other Team Members.
  • What you can do depends on the role and permissions the account owner gave you.

๐Ÿ›’ How to Buy Local Citations

  1. Log in to Search Atlas and make sure you are in the correct account or workspace.
  2. Open the project for the business you are building citations for.
  3. Go to the local citations area of the platform.
  4. Check that the business name, address, and phone number are correct. Citations work best when these details match your other listings exactly.
  5. Choose the citations or package you want to purchase.
  6. Review the credit cost shown before you confirm.
  7. Confirm the purchase and wait for the order to be processed.

Once the order is placed, the credits are deducted and the citations are queued for submission. Submissions can take some time to appear live on each directory.

๐Ÿ’ณ If Your Credit Balance Looks Wrong

Sometimes the balance on the screen differs from what you expected. For example, you may believe you should have 115,050 credits but see a different number, or a message that you cannot complete the purchase. Work through these checks first:

  • Check the account. If you belong to more than one account or workspace, each has its own credit balance. Confirm you are in the account that holds the credits.
  • Refresh the page. Log out and back in, or do a hard refresh, to clear an out-of-date display.
  • Check the cost of your order. Large citation orders can use many credits. Compare the cost shown at checkout with your available balance.
  • Look for recent usage. Other team members may have used credits on citations or other Hyperdrive features.
  • Check your permissions. If a purchase is blocked, your role may not allow spending credits. Ask the account owner to review your access.
  • Confirm the plan status. If a plan was recently renewed, changed, or paused, the balance may take a short time to update.

๐Ÿงพ What to Share If You Need Help

If the checks above do not solve the problem, gather these details so our team can look into it quickly:

  • The balance you see on screen and the balance you expected.
  • The account or workspace name and the project you were working in.
  • Your role on the account (for example, Team Member).
  • A screenshot of the message or balance shown.
  • The citations or package you tried to buy and the approximate time you tried.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips to Avoid Problems

  • Ask the account owner to confirm your role before you start a large citation order.
  • Agree with your team on who purchases citations so credits are not spent twice on the same listings.
  • Check the cost before you confirm any purchase.
  • Keep your business details consistent across every listing.
