## **📌 Overview**

You can add more than one image to a single post in Social Hub, so your followers see a photo gallery or carousel instead of one picture. This article explains how to attach multiple images, what affects how many you can add, and what to try if the upload does not work as expected.

**Note:** This guide covers posts for social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X. Google Business Profile posts follow different rules and are covered in the section below.

## **🖼️ How to Add Multiple Images to One Post**

1. Open **Social Hub** from the main navigation in your Search Atlas project.
2. Start a new post by choosing the option to create or schedule a post.
3. Select the social account or accounts you want to publish to.
4. Write your caption or post text.
5. Click the **image or media upload** button in the post editor.
6. In the file picker, select several images at once. On Windows, hold **Ctrl** while clicking each file. On Mac, hold **Command**. You can also drag and drop several files into the upload area if it is available.
7. If you want to add more images afterward, click the upload button again. New images are added to the ones already attached.
8. Check the post preview to confirm all your images appear and are in the order you want.
9. Publish the post now or schedule it for later.

## **📏 Image Limits and Requirements**

The number of images you can attach to one post is set by each social network, not by Search Atlas. These limits can change over time, so the post preview is the best guide. As a general rule:

- Different networks allow different numbers of images per post. For example, X allows fewer images per post than Instagram or LinkedIn.
- Instagram shows multiple images as a swipeable carousel.
- Facebook and LinkedIn show multiple images as a gallery or grid.
- Each network has its own file size and file type requirements. Common formats such as **JPG** and **PNG** work best.
- Very large files may upload slowly or fail. Resizing or compressing them first can help.

If you publish to several networks at once, the strictest network's limit may apply to the whole post. If you need more images on one network than another allows, create separate posts for each.

## **🔄 Reordering and Removing Images**

- Use the preview to review the order of your images. The first image is usually the one shown as the cover or main thumbnail.
- To remove an image, look for a remove or delete icon on the image thumbnail in the editor.
- If you need to change the order and no reorder option is available, remove the images and upload them again in the order you want.

## **📍 Social Posts vs. Google Business Profile Posts**

Social posts and Google Business Profile (GBP) posts are created and managed separately, and they do not support the same media options. Google Business Profile posts generally accept a single image per post, while most social networks accept several.

- If you want multiple images on a **social network** post, use the steps in this article and select your social accounts.
- If you are working on a **Google Business Profile** post, expect to attach one image per post. To show more photos, publish additional posts or add photos to the profile itself.

Make sure you have selected a social account, not a Google profile, before you upload your images.

## **🛠️ Troubleshooting Common Issues**

**I can only select one image at a time.**

- Try holding Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac) while selecting files, or upload the images one after another using the upload button.
- Check that you selected a social account and not a Google Business Profile.

**Some of my images did not upload.**

- Confirm the files are in a supported format, such as JPG or PNG.
- Reduce the file size and try again.
- Refresh the page and retry with a stable internet connection.

**The upload button is unavailable or greyed out.**

- You may have reached the image limit for the selected network. Remove an image or deselect a network with a lower limit.
- Make sure your social account is still connected. If the connection has expired, reconnect it and try again.

**My images look cropped in the preview.**

- Each network displays images in specific aspect ratios. Using images that are the same shape, such as all square or all landscape, usually gives the cleanest result.

**The post published with fewer images than I added.**

- One of the selected networks may have a lower image limit. Review the preview before publishing, and split the content into separate posts if needed.

## **💡 Best Practices**

- Use images of the same size and shape for a clean, consistent look.
- Put your strongest image first, since it is often the one people see before they swipe or click.
- Keep files reasonably small so uploads finish quickly.
- Always check the preview before you publish or schedule.
- Write a caption that gives context for the whole set of images.
