## **🧭 How seed keywords work**

When you create an OTTO topical map, its seed keywords are set for that map. Updating seed keywords in Brand Vault does not change the seeds in a map that already exists. Refreshing the existing map will not apply the updated Brand Vault seeds.

## **🔄 Create a replacement map**

1. Update the seed keywords in Brand Vault.
2. In the left sidebar, select **OTTO SEO**.
3. Open the topical maps area and start creating a new topical map for the page or site you want to target.
4. Use the updated seed keywords when setting up the new map, then create it.

A new map is needed to use the revised seeds. The existing map remains unchanged; refreshing it does not replace its seed keywords.

## **✅ Check the new map**

Open the newly created map and confirm that it uses the intended seed keywords. If it does not, check the seeds selected during map creation.
