## **🔍 Why you receive pending task alerts**

A pending task alert means a GBP item is waiting for an action before it can be published. This can include a post that requires approval, a failed or disconnected GBP connection, or an item created before your publishing preference changed.

Changing a project to publish without approval does not always remove tasks that were already placed in the approval queue. Those existing tasks may continue to generate alerts until they are published, canceled, or removed.

## **⚙️ Check publishing and approval settings**

1. Open **Social** from the left sidebar.
2. Select **All Projects** and open the relevant project.
3. Review the project’s publishing or approval setting.
4. Confirm that publishing without approval is selected, then save the change if prompted.

Apply this setting before creating new posts. New posts should follow the updated workflow, while older pending items may need separate action.

## **📋 Clear existing pending tasks**

1. Go to **Social → Pending Approvals**.
2. Find the GBP post or task linked to the alert.
3. Choose the available action, such as approve, publish, cancel, or delete.
4. Return to the project and confirm that no older tasks remain in the queue.

If the task is not listed there, open **Social → All Projects**, select the project, and review its posts or calendar. You can also open **More Features → Social → Calendar** to locate scheduled items.

## **🔕 About disabling alerts**

Alerts are tied to pending work that needs attention. Publishing without approval prevents approval from being required for new eligible posts, but it may not disable alerts for tasks already pending or for connection and publishing errors.

To reduce alerts, clear the existing queue, confirm the approval setting, and resolve any GBP connection issues. If your platform view includes notification controls, review them in the relevant project or notification settings. Some task alerts may remain enabled so important publishing problems are not missed.

## **✅ If posts still stay pending**

- Confirm the GBP account is connected under **Local → GBP Projects**.
- Check that the project is using the correct GBP location.
- Verify the post meets GBP content requirements and contains no unsupported details.
- Refresh the project and check both **Pending Approvals** and the calendar.
- Check whether the post was created before approval-free publishing was enabled.
