🔗 What Is Sync to CMS?

When Sync to CMS is enabled for a content type, any optimizations OTTO applies to matching pages are automatically pushed to your live CMS. When it is disabled, OTTO will still generate recommendations, but changes will not be sent to your CMS until you enable the sync for that content type.

OTTO SEO categorises the pages on your site into distinct content types, most commonly:

• Blog / Article pages — informational posts, news, or editorial content.

• Service pages — commercial or product-focused pages describing your offerings.

Each content type has its own independent Sync to CMS toggle, so you can push blog optimizations to your CMS while keeping service page changes in review mode, or vice versa.

🛠️ How to Change the Sync to CMS Setting for Blog or Article Content

1. Log in to Search Atlas and open the OTTO SEO dashboard for the relevant site.

2. Navigate to the section within OTTO SEO that lists the content types OTTO has detected on your site (such as Blog, Article, or Service).

3. Find the row corresponding to Blog or Article content (the label reflects how OTTO has classified your content).

4. Locate the Sync to CMS toggle on that row and click it to enable or disable syncing for blog and article pages.

Once changed, OTTO will apply or withhold CMS pushes for blog and article content according to your new selection, without affecting the Sync to CMS state of your service pages or any other content type.

🔄 How to Change the Sync to CMS Setting for Service Pages

1. Return to the content types section in the OTTO SEO dashboard.

2. Find the row labelled Service or the content type that represents your service pages.

3. Click the Sync to CMS toggle on that row to enable or disable syncing for service pages independently.
