This article explains the difference between a change being deployed within Search Atlas and that change actually appearing on your live Shopify storefront — and shows you exactly how to confirm the update went through.

🔍 What "Deployed" Actually Means

In Search Atlas, deployed means the change has been pushed from Search Atlas to your connected Shopify store. It does not mean the change is only saved inside Search Atlas. However, a successful deploy inside Search Atlas does not always guarantee the update is immediately visible on your live Shopify page — sync delays, caching, or a broken connection can prevent the change from appearing.

🛠️ Step-by-Step

Check the deployment status in Search Atlas: Locate the change you made in your Search Atlas project and confirm whether it shows a successful or unsuccessful deployment state. If the deployment did not complete successfully, the change has not yet been written to Shopify.

Verify your Shopify connection is active: In your Search Atlas project, review your Shopify integration settings to confirm the connection is active and authenticated. An expired or disconnected integration can cause a deploy to appear complete inside Search Atlas while nothing is actually written to Shopify.

Check your live Shopify page directly: Open your Shopify storefront in a browser tab. Use Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) to perform a hard refresh, bypassing any browser cache. Navigate to the specific page where the change should appear and confirm whether the updated content is present.

Review Shopify's activity or edit history: In your Shopify Admin, check your theme's edit history or relevant activity logs to see whether a change was recorded at the time you deployed from Search Atlas. This can help confirm whether data was received by Shopify.

If the deployment appeared successful but Shopify still shows the old content: Try re-deploying the change from within your Search Atlas project. If the problem persists, disconnect and reconnect the Shopify integration, then re-deploy.

✅ How to Confirm It Worked

The change is live when the following are both true:

The deployment status in Search Atlas indicates the change was successfully pushed.

Your live Shopify page (hard-refreshed) displays the updated content exactly as written.

If either of these checks fails, the change has not fully propagated and you should follow step 5 above before reaching out for support.

If you need further assistance, open the chat widget in the bottom-right corner of the platform and type human teammate to be connected with a member of our team.
