This article explains what is happening with each issue and what information to have ready when contacting support.

⚠️ Issue 1 — Duplicate Anchor Text

Some sites have experienced OTTO generating a very large number of identical anchor text suggestions across multiple pages. This is a known bug. It is not something you can resolve by changing settings on your end.

What to have ready when escalating:

The name of the affected project or site.

A rough count or screenshot showing the duplicated anchor text suggestions.

The specific anchor phrase(s) that are being repeated.

The timestamp or date when you first noticed the issue.

⚠️ Issue 2 — Unwanted Auto-Deployments

Some customers have reported that OTTO changes appear to have been deployed without a deliberate deploy action, or conversely that the dashboard shows a deployed status but the changes are not present on the live site. This is a known platform bug and cannot be self-resolved through the interface.

What to have ready when escalating:

The name of the affected project or site.

A description of what you expected to happen versus what actually occurred (e.g., changes deployed without approval, or status shows deployed but pages are unchanged).

The URLs of specific pages affected.

Any timestamps or date ranges when the unexpected behavior was observed.

⚠️ Issue 3 — URL Exclusion Filter Not Working Correctly

Some customers have found that URL exclusion rules are matching pages that were not intended to be excluded. This appears to be related to how the exclusion logic matches URLs and is a known bug. It cannot be fully corrected by adjusting your exclusion rules alone.

What to have ready when escalating:

The name of the affected project or site.

The exact exclusion rule(s) you entered.

The URLs that were incorrectly excluded or incorrectly included as a result.

Screenshots of your current exclusion settings if possible.

📌 Next Steps

All three of these are known bugs currently being investigated by the engineering team. Please do not attempt workarounds that involve approving or deploying large numbers of suggestions manually, as this may make it harder to diagnose the underlying issue.
