Overview

Search Atlas uses two distinct scoring systems to help you evaluate and improve your content: the Content Score and the SEO Score. Although they sound similar, they measure different things and appear in different parts of the platform. Not all users can see both scores by default. If you can see one but not the other, this article explains why and what to do next.

What Is the Content Score?

The Content Score measures how well your article is written from a content-quality perspective.

Where it appears: Inside the Content Editor (also called the Article Editor). Open or create a document in the Content Editor and the Content Score will be displayed within that editor view.

Who can see it: The Content Score is available to all users who have access to the Content Editor, regardless of subscription tier.

What Is the SEO Score?

The SEO Score is a broader, site-level metric that reflects the overall SEO health of a page or website based on audit and scan data.

Where it appears: The SEO Score is associated with the OTTO SEO feature. The most likely reasons you cannot see the SEO Score are listed below.

Your plan does not include OTTO SEO. The Content Editor and Content Score are available on lower-tier plans, while OTTO SEO and its SEO Score require a plan that includes the OTTO SEO module. If a scan has not finished, no score will be displayed. Ensure a scan has been run and completed for your project.

Feature rollout status. The SEO Score feature is part of an ongoing rollout.
