## **📋 Overview**

Guest post orders go through a multi-step fulfillment process involving publisher outreach, content creation, editorial review, and live placement. Because real publishers and editorial teams are involved at each stage, fulfillment timelines can vary. This article explains what to expect, why delays happen, and what you can do while you wait.

## **⏱️ What Is the Standard Fulfillment Timeline?**

Most guest post orders are fulfilled within **14–30 business days** from the date of purchase. This window accounts for:

- Publisher matching and outreach
- Content brief creation and writing
- Publisher editorial review and approval
- Scheduling and live placement on the publisher's site

Some publishers operate on longer editorial cycles, which can extend fulfillment beyond the standard window — especially for high-authority or niche-specific placements.

## **🔍 How to Check Your Order Status**

You can monitor the current status of each guest post placement directly inside Search Atlas:

1. Navigate to **Publisher Exchange** from the main menu.
2. Open the relevant order to view its details.
3. Review the status shown for each individual placement within the order.

**Note:** Each placement in a multi-placement order may have its own status. If you see a general **Pending Action** label, this reflects the overall order state. Check the per-placement breakdown for a more accurate picture of where each link stands in the process.

## **⚠️ Common Reasons for Delays**

Understanding why delays occur can help set the right expectations. The most frequent causes include:

- **Publisher scheduling backlogs:** High-demand publishers may have a queue of content waiting to be reviewed and posted.
- **Content revision cycles:** If a publisher requests edits to the submitted content, additional time is needed before the post goes live.
- **Editorial hold periods:** Some sites post content on a fixed schedule (weekly or bi-weekly), which may push your placement to the next available slot.
- **Niche-specific approval processes:** Certain industries (finance, health, legal) have stricter editorial standards that require more review time.
- **Platform reconciliation windows:** Occasional system reconciliation processes can affect how quickly new placements are reflected in your dashboard. These are resolved automatically and do not impact the actual publisher timeline.

## **📊 What Your Order Statuses Mean**

- **Pending Action:** The order has been received and is awaiting the next step in the fulfillment workflow.
- **In Progress:** Content is being written, reviewed, or submitted to the publisher.
- **Awaiting Publisher Approval:** The post has been submitted and is in the publisher's editorial queue.
- **Live:** Your guest post is published and the link is active.

If your dashboard shows a count discrepancy between guest posts ordered and those reflected in your Link Lab, allow up to **24 hours** for the platform to sync and update accurately.

## **✅ What You Should Do If Your Order Is Overdue**

If it has been more than **30 business days** since your purchase and your placement still shows no progress, follow these steps:

1. Log in to Search Atlas and go to **Publisher Exchange**.
2. Note the specific order ID and the placement(s) that appear stalled.
3. Check whether the per-placement status has updated recently.
4. If there is no movement and no status update, contact our support team for a manual follow-up with the publisher.

If you need further assistance, open the chat widget in the bottom-right corner of the platform and type **human teammate** to be connected with a member of our team.

## **💡 Tips to Avoid Fulfillment Surprises**

- Plan guest post orders **4–6 weeks ahead** of any deadline or campaign launch date.
- Review publisher timelines and notes in Publisher Exchange before placing your order — some listings include estimated turnaround information.
- Monitor your order regularly using the per-placement status view so you can catch any issues early.
- Avoid assuming an order is lost based solely on the overall order count shown on the dashboard, as this may not always reflect real-time Link Lab data.
