1. **Open Content Genius.** In the left sidebar, go to **Content → Content Genius**. Open the article or content document that is producing metadata in the wrong language.
2. **Check the document-level language setting.** Inside the editor, look for the language selector — this is typically displayed near the top of the document settings panel or in the generation options before you click **Generate**. Confirm it is set to your target language (for example, German, not Dutch).
3. **Update the document language if needed.** Use the dropdown to select the correct language. If you are starting a new document, set this before generating any content or metadata.
4. **Check the workspace or project default language.** Navigate to your account or project settings — accessible via your profile icon or the settings menu — and locate the default content language. Confirm this also matches your intended language.
5. **Update the default language if needed.** Change it to your target language and save. This ensures all future documents default to the correct language from the start.
6. **Regenerate the metadata.** Return to **Content → Content Genius**, open your document, and use the **Generate** action to regenerate your meta title and meta description. The output should now appear in the correct language.
