## **🗺️ Overview**

This article covers two common questions from new Search Atlas users: how to book onboarding and training sessions, and how to resolve a silent failure when linking a Google Business Profile (GBP) in Brand Vault Locations.

## **📚 Available Training Session Types**

Search Atlas offers structured onboarding sessions to help you get started quickly. These are one-on-one (1:1) sessions with a Search Atlas specialist, booked inside the platform. The following session types are currently available:

- **OTTO Onboarding Session** — Focused on setting up and using OTTO for website optimizations, deploying SEO automations, and understanding your optimization score.
- **Google Business Profile (GBP) Session** — Covers connecting your GBP, managing location data in Brand Vault, and activating GBP-specific OTTO features.
- **General Search Atlas Onboarding** — A platform-wide walkthrough covering core tools including the Content Planner, Site Auditor, Keyword Research, and Reporting dashboards.

All sessions are led by Search Atlas team members and are available on every plan, including trials.

## **🔗 How to Book a Training Session**

Sessions are booked inside the platform through the embedded calendar at /onboarding-1on1. Follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Search Atlas account.
2. Navigate to /onboarding-1on1 within the platform to access the embedded calendar.
3. Select the session type that matches your current needs (OTTO, GBP, or General Onboarding).
4. Choose an available date and time slot, then complete your registration.
5. You will receive a confirmation email with the session link and any preparation instructions.

If you cannot locate your welcome email or the booking link, open the chat widget in the bottom-right corner of the platform and type **human teammate** to be connected with a member of our team who can send you the link directly.

## **📋 What Is Included in Standard Onboarding**

Standard onboarding sessions are **one-on-one (1:1) calls** with a Search Atlas specialist, booked inside the platform at /onboarding-1on1. Here is what is included and what falls outside the standard offering:

- **Included:** Live group walkthroughs of platform features, Q&A time during the session, access to recorded replays (where available), and the ability to attend multiple session types.
- **Not included:** Dedicated 1-on-1 strategy sessions, personalized account audits, or private guidance calls are **not part of the standard onboarding package** and are not currently offered as a scheduled service.

If you have questions that are not addressed during your onboarding session, the fastest path to personalized help is the in-platform chat widget (see the Support section below).

## **🔧 Fixing the GBP Linking Issue in Brand Vault**

If your Google Business Profile connection appears to complete without errors but the status does not update to **Connected**, this is a known intermittent sync issue. Work through the following steps to resolve it:

1. **Refresh the page** — After the connection flow completes, perform a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows, Cmd + Shift + R on Mac) and check whether the status has updated.
2. **Wait and re-check** — In some cases the status update is delayed by up to 5 minutes. Wait briefly, then revisit the Brand Vault Locations page.
3. **Disconnect and reconnect** — If the status still shows as not connected, click the option to disconnect the GBP listing, then repeat the connection steps from the beginning. Make sure you are authorizing with the Google account that has **Owner or Manager** access to the GBP listing.
4. **Verify Google account permissions** — Only Google accounts with Owner or Manager-level access to the Business Profile can be used to link. Viewer-level access will not work and may cause a silent failure.
5. **Check for multiple Google accounts** — If your browser is signed into more than one Google account, the OAuth flow may connect the wrong account. Sign out of all Google accounts, then sign back in with only the correct account before retrying.
6. **Clear browser cache and cookies** — Cached OAuth tokens can interfere with the connection. Clear your browser data, then attempt the connection again in a fresh browser session or an incognito window.

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, the status may need to be reset on the backend.
