This article explains how Reddit link placements work inside Link Laboratory and how to understand the Link Type field when placing your order — the specific detail customers most often cannot locate on their own.

## **📍 Accessing Link Laboratory**

Log in to your Search Atlas account and navigate to Link Laboratory. If you are unsure where to find it within the platform, our support team can walk you through the exact steps for your account setup.

## **🛠️ Placing a Reddit Link Order**

1. Open Link Laboratory from within your Search Atlas dashboard.
2. Browse or search the publisher marketplace for Reddit placements. You can filter results to narrow down Reddit-specific listings.
3. Select a Reddit publisher listing that fits your campaign and open the order form.
4. Locate the **Link Type** field within the order form. This field controls how your link will be attributed in the Reddit placement. The two most common options are:
   - **Dofollow** — the link passes SEO authority (link equity) to your target URL. Choose this option when the primary goal is to build backlink authority for your domain.
   - **Nofollow** — the link includes a `rel="nofollow"` attribute, meaning it does not pass SEO authority directly. Choose this option when the goal is referral traffic or brand visibility rather than link equity. If only one option is available for a specific listing, the publisher has set that attribution type as fixed and it cannot be changed at the order level.
5. Complete the remaining order fields and submit your order.

## **✅ After Submitting Your Order**

Once your order has been submitted, monitor the placement status in Link Laboratory. When the placement goes live, verify that the post appears in the correct subreddit and that your link is displayed as intended. If the result does not match what you selected, note the order ID, the listing name, and the Link Type you chose, then reach out to our team for review.
