## **📖 Overview**

When editing an article in Search Atlas, you will notice two distinct scores: the **SEO Score** and the **Content Score**. These scores measure different aspects of your content's quality and optimization. This article explains where to find each score and what each one means.

## **🗺️ Where to Find Your Article Scores**

Both scores are accessible through the Content section of Search Atlas. Follow these steps to locate them:

1. Click **Content** in the left sidebar.
2. You will land on the Content Genius home page, which lists all your articles. The **Content Score** for each article is displayed directly in this article list.
3. To open an article and view both scores, click on the article title.
4. Once inside the article editor, look at the right-hand panel. The **SEO Score** and the **Content Score** are both displayed here at the article level.

## **📈 What Is the Content Score?**

The **Content Score** reflects the overall quality and depth of your written content. It evaluates factors such as:

- Use of relevant terms and semantically related keywords
- Coverage of key topics that top-ranking competitors address
- Word count and content comprehensiveness
- Readability and structure

The Content Score is the value shown on the Content Genius home page next to each article, giving you a quick snapshot of content quality without opening the editor. This score updates as you make changes inside the article editor.

## **🔍 What Is the SEO Score?**

The **SEO Score** is a broader on-page optimization metric. It evaluates technical and structural SEO elements within the article, such as:

- Keyword placement in the title, headings, and meta description
- Internal and external linking
- Image alt text usage
- On-page SEO best practices aligned with search engine guidelines

The SEO Score gives you a signal of how well the article is optimized for search engines beyond content depth alone.
