## **🔍 Overview**

The **Wildfire** feature in Search Atlas allows you to exchange backlinks with other websites through automated outreach campaigns. Occasionally, a request may be created by mistake or for a domain you no longer want to target. This article explains what to do when you need a pending Wildfire backlink request removed.

## **🗺️ Where to Find Wildfire Requests**

Wildfire backlink requests are managed inside the **Authority** section of the platform. To navigate there:

1. Click **Authority** in the left sidebar.
2. Select **Campaigns** from the sub-menu.
3. Locate the campaign associated with the pending backlink request you want to remove.

## **🛠️ How to Remove a Pending Request**

Because the removal of pending Wildfire backlink requests is handled on the backend, our support team will need to action this on your behalf. Self-serve removal controls may not be available for all request states. To get a pending request removed as quickly as possible, please have the following information ready before reaching out:

- The **project name** associated with the Wildfire campaign.
- The **domain** of the pending backlink request you want removed (for example, the target site URL).
- Any relevant **campaign name or ID** visible in your Authority → Campaigns view.

Once you contact support with these details, a team member can locate and remove the pending request directly.

## **⚠️ If the Remove Option Is Not Available**

In some cases you may find that no removal option is accessible from within the platform. This is expected behaviour for certain request states — the support team can still remove the request on the backend regardless. Do not attempt workarounds such as deleting the campaign entirely before speaking with support, as this may affect other active requests.

## **✅ Best Practices to Avoid Unwanted Requests**

- Review all pending Wildfire requests in **Authority → Campaigns** regularly to catch any entries created by mistake early.
- Before activating a campaign, double-check the target domain list to ensure only intended sites are included.
- If you did not intentionally set up a Wildfire campaign, check whether your project was auto-enrolled and contact support to have it reviewed.
