This article explains why it happens and what to have ready when contacting support.

There are a few possible reasons your OTTO SEO project may return no issues or recommendations:

- **Analysis did not complete correctly:** In some cases, OTTO begins processing a project but fails to return analysis results, even when your site has been detected in Site Audit and is correctly whitelisted.
- **Project is still initializing:** Newly created projects sometimes need additional time to fully process before recommendations appear.
- **Data did not load in the background:** OTTO may display a success message for certain categories while no actual project data is loaded in the background.

## **🛠️ Steps to Try Before Escalating**

1. **Wait and refresh:** If your project was created recently, give it some additional time to process and then refresh the page to check if recommendations have populated.
2. **Verify your Site Audit is active:** OTTO relies on Site Audit data to generate recommendations. Confirm that a Site Audit has been run for the same domain and that crawl results are available.
3. **Check that your domain is whitelisted:** Inside OTTO SEO → Site Audit → All Audits (Site Audit) via the 'How to Whitelist our Crawler?' link, confirm the correct domain is connected and whitelisted. A misconfigured domain can prevent analysis from running.
4. **Clear your browser cache:** Occasionally, a cached page state can display outdated results. Clear your cache and reload the OTTO SEO dashboard.

## **✅ What a Healthy OTTO Project Looks Like**

Once OTTO has successfully analyzed your site, you should see:

- A non-zero page count listed in your project overview
- Categorized on-page recommendations such as title tag issues, meta descriptions, heading structure, and more
- An accurate count of issues per category with actionable suggestions

## **📋 What to Have Ready When Escalating**

If your project still shows zero pages and no recommendations across every category after following the steps above, the issue will need to be investigated by our backend team. Please have the following ready:

- The exact name of the affected OTTO SEO project
- The domain associated with the project
- Any error messages or status messages displayed in the project dashboard
- The approximate date and time the project was created or last processed
