## **📋 Overview**

**Instant Indexing** pushes your URLs directly to search engines for faster discovery. This feature is only available on the **Pro**, **Agency**, and **Enterprise** plans. Accounts on lower-tier plans will receive an error when attempting to activate it.

## **⚠️ Understanding the HTTP 400 Error**

When you attempt to activate Instant Indexing on an ineligible account, the API returns:

- **HTTP 400** — "Unable to activate indexing"
- **is\_transient: false** — This confirms the error is *not* temporary or retriable. The account does not meet the plan requirement.

This error persists even with the pixel installed, GSC connected, and sitemap registered — plan eligibility is checked separately before activation is allowed.

## **✅ How to Resolve This**

1. Log in to your Search Atlas account.
2. Navigate to the top-right corner (avatar) → **Billing** → **Plans & Top-ups** tab (Billing).
3. Upgrade to the **Pro**, **Agency**, or **Enterprise** plan.
4. Once the upgrade is confirmed, return to your OTTO project and activate **Instant Indexing** again.

Your existing OTTO configuration — pixel, GSC connection, and sitemaps — will be preserved after upgrading.
