# **❄️ What a Deep-Frozen OTTO Project Means**

An OTTO project becomes **deep-frozen** when it has been inactive or paused for an extended period, or when it sits outside your plan's active project quota. While a project is deep-frozen, OTTO stops processing and deploying changes for that website, but the project and its historical data remain stored in your account.

Deep-freezing protects your account: it pauses work on projects you are no longer managing so your active clients continue running normally. A frozen project does not consume processing resources, but it may still count toward the total number of projects associated with your account depending on your plan.

# **🔍 How Deleting Affects Your Other Clients**

Deleting a deep-frozen project only removes **that single project**. It does not touch, pause, or alter any of your other active clients. If you have 14 active clients and you delete one frozen project, all 14 active clients remain fully intact and continue running as normal.

Each OTTO project is managed independently. There is no shared setting that links one project's deletion to another, so you can safely remove a frozen project without any impact on the rest of your portfolio.

# **📊 Understanding Quota Limits**

Your subscription plan includes a set number of OTTO project slots. Both active and deep-frozen projects can count toward this quota, which is why a frozen project you no longer need may prevent you from adding a new one.

- **Active projects** are projects OTTO is currently processing and deploying.
- **Deep-frozen projects** are paused but still stored, and may occupy a quota slot.
- **Deleting a frozen project** frees up a slot so you can add a new client in its place.

If you are at your limit and want to onboard a new website, deleting an unneeded frozen project is the quickest way to make room.

# **🛠️ How to Delete a Deep-Frozen OTTO Project**

Follow these steps to remove a frozen project from your account:

1. Log in to the platform and navigate to **OTTO SEO → All Sites (SEO Automation)**.
2. Locate the project list and find the deep-frozen project you want to remove (for example, the frozen domain you no longer manage).
3. Click the **options menu** (the three dots or settings icon) next to that project.
4. Select **Delete Project**.
5. Read the confirmation message carefully to make sure you have selected the correct project.
6. Confirm the deletion. The project and its data will be permanently removed, and the quota slot will be freed.

Once deletion is complete, your project count updates automatically and you can add a new client right away.

# **⚠️ Important Things to Know Before You Delete**

- **Deletion is permanent.** Removing a project also removes its historical data and deployed changes. If you may need this project again, consider keeping it frozen instead.
- **Double-check the domain name.** Confirm you are deleting the correct frozen project before confirming, since the action cannot be undone.
- **Your active clients are safe.** Deleting one project never affects the others on your account.
- **Quota updates instantly.** The freed slot becomes available as soon as the deletion finishes.

# **💡 Quick Recap**

Deleting a deep-frozen OTTO project is a safe way to clean up your account and free quota for new clients. The deletion is isolated to that single project, your active clients remain untouched, and the freed slot lets you onboard a new website immediately. If the project may be needed later, keep it frozen rather than deleting it.
