## ⚠️ OTTO PPC Standalone Mode — What Works Today

Some OTTO PPC tools can be used in **standalone mode**, meaning they only require a connected Google Ads account — without a fully configured Search Atlas business profile. Other tools still require a complete business profile setup before they can function.

🧠 Understanding which tools are available in standalone mode can save you significant troubleshooting time and help you get started with PPC automation even before your full business profile is configured.

## 🔌 What Is Standalone Mode?

Standalone mode allows certain OTTO PPC tools to operate using only a **connected Google Ads account**. This is useful if you have not yet completed the full Search Atlas business profile setup but still want to access PPC reporting and keyword management features through MCP.

⚠️ Not all OTTO PPC tools support standalone mode. Some require a fully configured Search Atlas business profile because their underlying APIs depend on account-level data that only becomes available after full profile setup.

## ✅ Tools Available in Standalone Mode

✅ **Reports** — Fully available in standalone mode. Backend support for **ads\_account\_id** has shipped, so Reports can be used with only a connected Google Ads account. No business profile is required to access PPC reporting data.

✅ **Negative Keywords** — Available in standalone mode with a connected Google Ads account. You can manage and apply negative keywords without a fully configured Search Atlas business profile.

## ❌ Tools Not Yet Available in Standalone Mode

❌ **Campaign Performance** — Not yet available in standalone mode. The account-scoped APIs required for standalone Campaign Performance have not yet been released to production. A **fully configured Search Atlas business profile is currently required** to use this tool.

❌ **Performance Preferences** — Not yet available in standalone mode. The **/performance-preferences/** endpoint does not yet support standalone mode using only an **ads\_account\_id**. A connected business profile remains required until the update is released.

## 🗺️ What's Coming on the Roadmap

🔜 Standalone support for **Campaign Performance** and **Performance Preferences** is on the roadmap. The Search Atlas team is actively working to release these updates to production.
