## 🔍 Why the Edit Button Isn't Visible

The Executive Summary section in the classic Report Builder does not display its editing controls by default. The text edit buttons (**Edit layout**, **Edit Key Insights**, **Edit Next Steps**, **Edit Recommended Actions**) are intentionally hidden until you interact with the section — they only appear when you hover your cursor directly over the Executive Summary block.

## 🛠️ How to Edit the Executive Summary

1. From the left sidebar, navigate to **Home → searchatlas.com** (Executive Summary).
2. Open the report you want to modify inside the **classic Report Builder**.
3. Scroll to the **Executive Summary** section of your report.
4. Hover your cursor over the Executive Summary block — the edit controls will appear.
5. Click the appropriate text edit button (**Edit layout**, **Edit Key Insights**, **Edit Next Steps**, or **Edit Recommended Actions**) that becomes visible.
6. Remove or adjust any out-of-scope items as needed.
7. Use **Refresh Summary** or **Edit layout** to apply your changes.

## ⚠️ If the Edit Option Still Doesn't Appear

If hovering over the section does not reveal any edit controls, check the following:

- **Account permissions:** Editing controls are only available to users with **Editor** or **Admin** permissions. View-only accounts will not see any edit options.
- **Hard refresh the page:** Interactive elements may occasionally fail to load correctly. Try a hard refresh — press **Ctrl + Shift + R** on Windows or **Cmd + Shift + R** on Mac — then attempt to hover over the section again.
- **Confirm you are in the correct view:** Editing is only available inside the **classic Report Builder**. If you are viewing a shared or published version of the report, all editing controls will be hidden regardless of your permissions.
