## **🧭 Overview**

The OTTO pixel is a small tracking script that powers your AI Visibility projects in Search Atlas. It collects the data needed to monitor how your brand appears across AI-generated responses. If your AI Visibility projects have disappeared or you cannot access Cloudflare, this article explains what may be happening and how to get help reinstating your projects.

## **❓ Why Did My AI Visibility Projects Disappear?**

AI Visibility projects require an active, verified OTTO pixel to function. If the pixel is removed, your AI Visibility project is frozen (read-only) but kept, and it will be automatically reactivated with its history preserved once the pixel is reinstalled and OTTO is detected again. Projects may become unavailable or stop tracking when the pixel is not properly installed or verified on your site. Common reasons include:

- The pixel was never fully installed or confirmed on your site.
- The pixel was removed from your site after initial setup.
- The pixel code was present but blocked by a security policy or plugin.
- Your Cloudflare integration was disconnected or its associated configuration was removed.

Once the pixel is properly installed and verified again, your existing AI Visibility project will be reactivated automatically with its history preserved — you do not need to recreate it.

## **📋 Installation Methods**

The OTTO pixel can generally be installed in more than one way — Cloudflare is not the only option. Depending on your platform and technical setup, common approaches include adding the pixel script directly to your site's header code, using a tag manager, or working through your platform's built-in custom code or script management area.

To get started, locate your unique pixel script from within your Search Atlas account. The exact location may vary depending on your account setup. Once you have your pixel script, you can add it to your site using whichever method suits your platform — the key requirement is that the script loads on every page of your site.

If you are unsure which installation method applies to your site or are having trouble locating your pixel script, our support team can help identify the right approach for your specific setup.
