## **Overview**

When you enter Google Local Business information in Search Atlas, the platform is designed to push that data into your site's Local Business schema markup automatically. If the sync is not working, the issue typically involves a missing setup step, an inactive OTTO SEO connection, or incomplete business information. This article explains what the sync is intended to do and how to get help resolving it when it is not working as expected.

## **What This Feature Is Meant to Do**

Search Atlas is designed to read your business details — such as business name, address, phone number, hours, and categories — from your connected Google Business Profile (GBP) and use that data to populate Local Business schema markup on your site via OTTO SEO. When the sync is working correctly, no manual copy-paste into your site's backend is required.

## **What to Check Before Escalating**

If your Local Business data is not appearing in your schema markup, review the following before contacting support:

- **Your GBP account is connected in Search Atlas:** Confirm your Google Business Profile account is linked within the platform. If it is not connected, the sync cannot run.
- **A GBP project exists for the correct location:** Each business location typically needs its own project. Open the project and verify that business details — name, address, phone, hours, and category — are fully populated and accurate.
- **OTTO SEO is active on your site:** OTTO must be enabled for schema deployment to occur. Confirm OTTO is active for the site in question.
- **A page is assigned to receive the Local Business schema:** OTTO needs a target page (such as your homepage or a location page) designated for Local Business schema. If no page is assigned, the schema will not deploy.
- **All required business fields are completed:** Missing fields such as phone number, address, or business category can prevent schema from being generated or deployed correctly.

## **What to Have Ready When You Contact Support**

Because Local Business schema sync issues often require a Support team member to investigate your specific project configuration, please have the following information ready when you reach out:

- The name of the GBP project or business location affected
- The URL of the page where Local Business schema should appear
- A description of what you see versus what you expect (for example, schema missing entirely, or schema present but showing incorrect data)
- Any error messages or unexpected behaviors you have noticed in the platform
