Your plan includes a default number of OTTO SEO site slots. If you want to activate OTTO SEO on more websites than your plan allows, you will need to purchase additional slots, called **top-ups**.

## **📊 Why You May See Extra Charges**

If you activated OTTO SEO on more sites than your plan includes, Search Atlas automatically prompts you to purchase top-up slots. Each top-up adds one additional site slot and is billed separately from your base subscription.

Common reasons customers see unexpected charges include:

- Activating OTTO SEO on a new domain without realising the base plan limit had already been reached
- Purchasing multiple top-ups in a single session (for example, three top-ups purchased on the same day)
- Confusion between the number of sites *added to the platform* and the number of sites with OTTO SEO **actively enabled**

Only sites with OTTO SEO switched on count against your slot limit. Adding a site to your Search Atlas account does not automatically consume a slot.

- Whether the top-up slots were used (i.e., whether OTTO SEO was actively run on the additional sites)
- How recently the charges were made
- Whether the purchase appeared to be unintentional
