If you currently pay $199/month for a single Growth plan and manage PPC campaigns for multiple clients or accounts, splitting into two separate $99/month Starter plans can give you cleaner account separation and better cost control. This article explains what changes, what stays the same, and exactly how to set everything up.

## **📋 Before You Begin**

Review these requirements before making any changes to your subscription:

- **Two unique email addresses are required.** Each Search Atlas account must be registered under a different email. You cannot use the same login credentials for two separate accounts.
- **Each Starter plan is independent.** Projects, keywords, reports, and OTTO SEO data do not transfer automatically between accounts. Plan your migration carefully to avoid losing work.
- **Billing is separate per account.** Each Starter plan is billed individually at $99/month. You will receive two separate invoices.
- **The Growth plan does not automatically cancel.** You must manually cancel or downgrade your existing plan after setting up your new accounts.

## **⚙️ What the Starter Plan Includes**

Before downgrading, confirm that the Starter plan covers your needs for each account. Key differences from the Growth plan include reduced project limits, lower keyword tracking capacity, and fewer user seats. ## **🛠️ How to Set Up Two Starter Accounts**

1. **Back up your existing project data.** Export any keyword reports, site audit data, or content drafts from your current Growth account. Go to each tool and use the available export or download options before proceeding.
2. **Prepare two email addresses.** Decide which email will manage which client or account. These can be personal emails, client emails, or aliases — as long as each is unique and accessible to you.
3. **Create the first new Starter account.** Open a private or incognito browser window, go to the Search Atlas sign-up page, and register using the first email address. Select the Starter plan during checkout.
4. **Create the second new Starter account.** Repeat the sign-up process in another private window using the second email address and select the Starter plan.
5. **Rebuild or import your projects.** Log in to each new account and recreate the projects relevant to that account. Re-add your domains, reconnect Google Search Console if applicable, and reconfigure any OTTO SEO settings.
6. **Cancel or downgrade your Growth plan.** Log in to your original Growth account. Navigate to your billing settings and cancel the Growth subscription. Time this step carefully — cancel only after your new Starter accounts are fully set up so there is no gap in access.

## **👥 Managing Multiple Accounts Efficiently**

Switching between two Search Atlas accounts requires logging out and back in, or using separate browsers. Here are some practical tips:

- Use two different browsers (for example, Chrome and Firefox) or browser profiles so you can stay logged into both accounts simultaneously.
- Label each account clearly by setting a recognisable workspace name in your account settings so you always know which account you are working in.
- If you work with a team, use the Team Members feature to invite collaborators. Go to the **avatar menu in the top-right corner → Team Members** (URL: **/settings**) within each account to add users separately under each Starter plan.

## **⚠️ Important Limitations to Know**

- **Projects cannot be transferred** between Search Atlas accounts. All project setup must be done manually in each new account.
- **Historical data resets.** Keyword ranking history and audit snapshots begin from the date you create the new project, not from your original Growth account start date.
- **OTTO SEO configurations** must be reconfigured per account. Previous OTTO tasks and logs will not carry over.
