## **🌏 Overview**

Search Atlas supports Chinese-language content generation across its content tools. Whether you are building a Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese website, you can configure the language settings so that all generated articles, outlines, and meta content are produced in Chinese rather than English. This guide walks you through the exact steps to get set up.

## **🛠️ Step 1: Access the SEO Content Assistant**

1. Log in to your Search Atlas account.
2. In the left sidebar, click **Content → Content Genius** (What are we writing today?).
3. You will land on the **Content Genius** page.

## **⚙️ Step 2: Set the Target Language to Chinese**

Before generating any content, you must set the target language. Follow these steps:

1. Click **Create New Document** or open an existing document you want to update.
2. In the document settings panel, locate the **Language** field.
3. Click the language dropdown and type **Chinese** to filter the options.
4. Select either **Chinese (Simplified)** for Mainland China audiences or **Chinese (Traditional)** for Taiwan, Hong Kong, or Macau audiences.
5. Click **Confirm** or **Apply** to save your selection before generating content.

**Important:** The language setting must be applied *before* you run content generation. Changing the language after generation will require you to regenerate the content.

## **📊 Step 3: Configure AI Content Templates for Chinese**

If you use AI Content Templates for bulk or templated content, set the language there as well:

1. In the left sidebar, go to **Content → AI Content Templates**.
2. Open an existing template or create a new one.
3. Find the **Output Language** field in the template settings.
4. Select **Chinese (Simplified)** or **Chinese (Traditional)** as required.
5. Save the template. All content generated from this template will now output in Chinese.

## **💡 Step 4: Generate and Review Your Chinese Content**

Once the language is configured, generate your content as usual. Keep the following in mind:

- Headings, body text, and meta descriptions will all be produced in your selected Chinese variant.
- AI-generated suggestions in the On-Page Audit tool will also reflect the target language when you set the correct location and language for the page being audited.
- For best results, ensure your **target location** is also set to a Chinese-speaking region (for example, China, Taiwan, or Hong Kong) so that keyword suggestions and search intent align with your audience.

## **🔍 Using Other Content Tools in Chinese**

The language preference applies across several content tools. Here is a quick reference for each:

- **On-Page Audit** (Left sidebar → Content → On-Page Audit): Set the language and location when creating an audit to receive Chinese-language recommendations.
- **Meta Generator** (Left sidebar → Content → Meta Generator): Select Chinese as the output language before generating title tags and meta descriptions.
- **Content Planner** (Left sidebar → Content → Content Planner): When adding topics or clusters, set the language to Chinese so generated briefs match your audience.
- **Topical Maps** (Left sidebar → Content → Topical Maps): Enter your seed keyword in Chinese or select Chinese as the language to receive a topically relevant map for Chinese search.

## **⚠️ Common Issues and Fixes**

- **Content is still generating in English:** Double-check that the language dropdown was saved before you clicked Generate. Re-select Chinese and try again.
- **Mixed-language output:** This can happen if the input keyword or prompt is in English. Enter your seed keyword in Chinese (e.g., 内容营销) to improve consistency.
- **Incorrect Chinese variant:** Simplified and Traditional Chinese are distinct. Make sure you have selected the correct variant for your target audience.
