## **🔍 Overview**

Deleting a report in Report Builder requires a specific action that is easy to miss. There is **no delete option available when you click directly on a report** to open it. The delete control is accessed from the reports list view, not from inside the report itself. Follow the steps below to delete a report successfully.

## **📋 Before You Begin**

- Make sure you have the correct permissions to delete reports in your workspace.
- Deletion is permanent. There is no undo option once a report is deleted.
- You must be in the **Report Builder projects list** view, not inside an open report.

## **🗑️ How to Delete a Report**

1. In the left sidebar, click **Reports**. This takes you to the Report Builder projects list at **/report-builder/projects-list**.
2. Locate the report you want to delete from the list.
3. Hover over the report row to reveal the action controls.
4. Click the **three-dot menu** (⋮) or the delete icon that appears on the report row.
5. Select **Delete** from the menu.
6. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

The report will be permanently removed from your projects list.

## **⚠️ Why You Cannot Find the Delete Option Inside a Report**

When you open a report by clicking on it, the view switches to the report editor or preview mode. In this mode, there is **no delete option available**. You must go back to the main reports list to access delete controls. If you are searching for a radio button or a delete option within an open report, this does not exist in the current interface.

## **❓ Troubleshooting**

- **No hover controls appear:** Make sure you are on the projects list page (**/report-builder/projects-list**) and not inside an open report. Click **Reports** in the left sidebar to return to the list view.
- **Delete option is greyed out or missing:** You may not have the required permissions for that report. Contact your workspace administrator to review your access level.
- **Report still appears after deletion:** Refresh the page. The list may not update automatically in all cases.
