## **🧭 What This Article Covers**

Some customers notice that the **Content** section inside the Site Audit's On-Page Audit does not update or reflect recent changes to their pages. This article explains the most common causes and the steps you can take to get the audit refreshing correctly again.

## **📍 How to Navigate to On-Page Audit**

1. Log in to your Search Atlas account.
2. In the left sidebar, click **Content**.
3. From the expanded menu, select **On-Page Audit**.

This opens the On-Page Audit tool where you can review content-level recommendations for any page you have analysed.

## **⚠️ Why the Content Section May Not Update**

There are several reasons the content section inside the On-Page Audit may appear stale or unresponsive:

- **The audit has not been re-run.** Content scores and recommendations do not update automatically after you make changes to a page. You must manually trigger a new audit run.
- **The page URL has not been re-submitted.** If you updated the page but did not re-enter or refresh the URL inside the tool, the tool continues to display the previous results.
- **Browser cache is serving an old version.** A cached version of the platform page can make results appear frozen even when a new audit has completed.
- **The audit is still processing.** Large or complex pages can take several minutes to complete. The content section populates last, after technical and metadata checks finish.
- **A temporary platform issue.** Occasional system delays can prevent results from rendering. These are usually resolved within a short time.

## **🛠️ Steps to Fix the Issue**

1. **Re-run the audit.** Inside the On-Page Audit tool, locate your target URL and click the option to run or refresh the audit. Wait for all sections, including the content section, to finish loading before reviewing results.
2. **Clear your browser cache.** Press **Ctrl + Shift + R** (Windows) or **Cmd + Shift + R** (Mac) to perform a hard refresh. Alternatively, clear your browser's cached files from your browser settings and reload the platform.
3. **Try a different browser or incognito window.** Open Search Atlas in a private or incognito window to rule out local caching or extension conflicts.
4. **Wait a few minutes and reload.** If the audit was recently triggered, give the tool up to five minutes to complete processing, then reload the On-Page Audit page.
5. **Check your internet connection.** An unstable connection can interrupt data loading. Confirm you have a stable connection and try again.
6. **Log out and log back in.** Sign out of Search Atlas, clear your session, and sign back in before re-running the audit.

## **✅ Confirming the Content Section Is Working**

Once the issue is resolved, the content section of the On-Page Audit will display:

- A **content score** based on how well the page matches top-ranking competitors.
- **Term and phrase recommendations** showing which keywords to add, increase, or reduce.
- **Word count guidance** relative to the top-ranking pages for your target keyword.

If the section still appears blank or shows outdated data after following all steps above, the issue may require investigation by our team.
