## **🧭 Overview**

The Local SEO Heatmap grid is part of the **GBP Galactic** suite, which lives under the **Local** section (which lands on GBP Projects) of your Search Atlas dashboard. It is available on the Growth plan, but it is not displayed on the main home screen — you need to navigate to the correct section using the left sidebar.

## **📍 How to Find the Local SEO Heatmap**

1. Log in to your Search Atlas account and make sure you are on the **Growth plan**.
2. Look at the **left sidebar** on any page inside the platform.
3. Click **Local** in the left sidebar. This lands you on the GBP Projects page in the GBP Galactic area (URL: **/gbp-galactic/gbp-projects**).
4. Once inside the Local section, select or open an existing **GBP Project**. If you have not created a project yet, create one by clicking **Add Project** and following the setup prompts.
5. After opening a project, the **Local SEO Heatmap grid** will be visible within the project dashboard. The heatmap shows your ranking positions across a geographic grid centered on your business location.

## **🗂️ What Else Is Inside the Local Section**

Once you click **Local** in the left sidebar, you have access to the following sub-pages. Use these to manage every aspect of your local SEO presence:

- **Local → Overview** — A summary of your GBP project performance, including heatmap snapshots and key metrics.
- **Local → Media Library** — Upload and manage photos and videos for your Google Business Profile.
- **Local → My Tasks** — A to-do list of recommended local SEO actions for your project.
- **Local → Posts** — Create and schedule GBP posts directly from Search Atlas.
- **Local → Reviews** (GBP Reviews) — Monitor and respond to customer reviews across your locations.
- **Local → Local Citations** — Track and manage your business listings across directories.

## **⚠️ Common Reasons You Might Not See the Heatmap**

- **No GBP Project created yet:** The heatmap only appears inside a project. If you have not set one up, the Local section will prompt you to create your first project.
- **Wrong section open:** The heatmap is not on the **Home** screen (**/home**). You must navigate to **Local** in the left sidebar, not the home dashboard.
- **Sidebar is collapsed:** If you do not see sidebar labels, click the expand icon (usually an arrow or hamburger menu) at the top-left of the screen to reveal the full sidebar menu with labels.
- **Account not fully set up:** Your GBP account must be connected during project setup for heatmap data to populate. Go to **Local → Overview** and check whether your Google Business Profile is linked.
