## **📋 Overview**

Search Atlas offers different levels of data access depending on your subscription plan. This article explains exactly which export formats and API features are available at each tier, so you can make the most of your Site Explorer data.

## **🗂️ Export Formats: CSV vs. PDF**

Site Explorer data can be exported in two formats, but availability depends on your plan:

- **PDF exports** — Available on all plans, including Starter. Use PDF exports to save snapshots of your Site Explorer reports for sharing or archiving.
- **CSV exports** — Available on **Growth plans and above**. CSV files give you raw, structured data you can manipulate in spreadsheets or import into other tools.

If you are on the Starter plan and need CSV exports, consider upgrading to the Growth plan to unlock this feature.

## **🔌 API Access by Plan Tier**

API access allows you to pull Search Atlas data programmatically into your own tools, dashboards, or workflows. API access is available on **every plan, including Starter** — you do not need to upgrade to create an API key or call the API. Create your key in **Settings → API Keys → Generate new key**.

## **🧭 How to Export Site Explorer Data**

1. In the left sidebar, click **Site Metrics (Site Explorer)** to open the Site Explorer section.
2. Select the site or report you want to export.
3. Click the **Export** button in the top-right area of the report.
4. Choose your preferred format — **PDF** (all plans) or **CSV** (Growth and above).
5. Your file will download automatically to your device.

If the CSV option does not appear in your export menu, your current plan does not include CSV exports.

## **🔑 How to Access the API**

1. Log in to your Search Atlas account.
2. Navigate to your **Account Settings** by clicking your profile icon in the top-right corner.
3. Select **API** or **Integrations** from the settings menu.
4. Copy your unique API key and refer to the Search Atlas API documentation to get started.

If the API section is not visible in your settings, your current plan does not include API access.

## **📊 Quick Plan Comparison**

- **Starter** — PDF exports only, no API access
- **Growth** — CSV exports included, API access included
- **Pro and above** — CSV exports included, API access included with higher quotas

## **⬆️ How to Upgrade Your Plan**

To unlock CSV exports or API access, you can upgrade your plan directly from your account:

1. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the platform.
2. Go to **Billing** or **Subscription**.
3. Select the plan that meets your needs and follow the on-screen steps to upgrade.

Changes take effect immediately after upgrading, so you can start exporting CSVs or using the API right away.
