## **🧭 Overview**

Site Audit surfaces every page the crawler evaluates — including pages that are fully compliant. By default, the results table shows **all** crawled URLs, so you may see a mix of passing and failing pages. This article explains how to filter the view to show only non-compliant pages and clarifies a common question about URLs that appear with **/2**, **/3**, or **/4** suffixes.

## **🚦 Why Compliant Pages Appear in Your Results**

Site Audit is designed to give you a complete picture of your site's health. Every crawled URL — whether it passes or fails a check — is included in the results table. This means compliant pages will appear alongside non-compliant ones unless you actively apply filters to narrow the view. This is expected behavior, not a bug.

## **✅ How to Show Only Non-Compliant Pages**

Use the built-in issue filters in Site Audit to isolate pages that have at least one detected problem. Follow these steps:

1. Open **Site Audit** from the left sidebar under **OTTO SEO** (OTTO SEO → Site Audit).
2. Select the audit project you want to review.
3. In the results table, locate the **Filter** bar at the top of the page list.
4. Click the filter dropdown and select the specific issue type you want to focus on — for example, **Missing Meta Description**, **Broken Links**, or **Missing H1**.
5. The table will refresh to show only URLs that have that issue flagged. Pages with no issues for that check will be excluded from the view.
6. To see all non-compliant pages across multiple issue types, apply additional filters one at a time or use the issue category panels to drill into each check separately.

**Important:** The **Create Segment** and **Manage Columns** options are not designed to filter by compliance status. Using them for this purpose will not produce the results you need. Stick to the **Filter** bar and issue category panels for accurate filtering.

## **📋 Reviewing Issues by Category**

A faster way to focus on non-compliant pages is to navigate by issue category rather than the full URL list:

1. From your audit project, scroll to the **Issues** section or click any issue category tile on the audit summary screen.
2. Each category — such as **Indexability**, **On-Page SEO**, or **Performance** — shows only the pages affected by that issue group.
3. Click into a specific issue to see the exact list of non-compliant URLs for that check.

This approach is the most reliable way to work through non-compliant pages systematically without manually filtering the full results table.

## **🔢 Understanding /2, /3, /4 URL Suffixes in Site Audit**

You may notice that a single page on your site appears in Site Audit results with multiple URL variants, such as:

- **example.com/my-page**
- **example.com/my-page/2**
- **example.com/my-page/3**

These suffixes are **not** pagination issues, duplicate content errors, or problems introduced by a platform change. They reflect a **known behavior** of the Site Audit crawler. Here is what causes them:

- When a page contains paginated content blocks — such as comment sections, product listings, or posts that load across multiple internal pages — the crawler follows each paginated segment as a separate URL.
- The **/2**, **/3**, and **/4** suffixes represent those paginated segments as the crawler discovers and indexes them.
- This is consistent with how search engines also crawl paginated content, so the behavior reflects real URL structures on your site rather than a platform error.

If you see these suffixes for a page that you do not believe has paginated content, check whether your CMS or theme is generating pagination parameters automatically — for example, through comment pagination settings in WordPress.

## **⚠️ What These Suffixes Are Not**

- They are **not** caused by a Search Atlas platform update or bug.
- They are **not** duplicate URL errors that require canonical tags to fix (though adding canonicals to paginated segments is still a best practice if the content is thin).
- They are **not** a sign that the crawler is misidentifying your pages.

## **🛠️ Recommended Next Steps**

- Use the issue category panels in Site Audit to work through non-compliant pages efficiently.
- Apply the **Filter** bar to isolate specific issue types when you need a focused URL list.
- If **/2, /3, /4** URLs are appearing unexpectedly, review your CMS pagination settings and consider adding **rel=canonical** tags pointing to the root URL of the page.
- Re-run the audit after making changes to confirm that flagged issues are resolved.
