Content Velocity lets you track how often your site and your competitors publish new content. If you are having trouble adding competitors directly inside Content Velocity, the correct approach is to add them through **Site Auditor** first — they will then become available within Content Velocity.

## **⚙️ Why Can't I Add Competitors Directly in Content Velocity?**

Content Velocity draws its competitor list from your **Site Auditor** project. Competitors need to be configured at the Site Auditor level before they will appear as options inside Content Velocity. This ensures a consistent competitor set is shared across the tools linked to your project.

## **🛠️ How to Add Competitors via Site Auditor**

To make competitors available in Content Velocity, add them through Site Auditor:

1. In the left sidebar, navigate to **Site Auditor**.
2. Open the relevant project (or create a new one if needed).
3. Locate the competitors or project settings area within your Site Auditor project.
4. Add the competitor domain there and save your changes.
5. Return to **Content Velocity** within your project — your added competitor should now be available.

**Can I add competitors directly inside Content Velocity?**

Allow a short time for the data to sync. If the competitor still does not appear, contact our support team and have your project name and the competitor domain ready so we can investigate.

Using a different project in Content Velocity: Make sure the project you select in Content Velocity matches the one where you added competitors in Site Auditor, otherwise competitors may not appear.
