## Overview

If your OTTO schema deployments show a **Connected** or **Deployed** status inside Search Atlas but the schema is not appearing in external tools like **validator.schema.org**, **Google Rich Results Test**, or Google Search Console — and your other OTTO-managed sites are working correctly — you may be experiencing a schema generation or validation issue that requires investigation by our support team.

This article explains how to identify the issue on your site. Because the resolution may depend on factors specific to your account and deployment configuration, please contact our support team so we can investigate and apply the appropriate fix.

## Common Root Causes

Several technical issues can cause valid-looking schema deployments to fail external validation. Understanding these will help you diagnose the situation quickly.

- **Schema validation blocking deployment:** In some cases, internal validation may prevent schema from being fully pushed to the page even though the deployment status appears as connected in the UI.
- **Unrecognized or malformed fields:** Certain fields in OTTO-generated schema output may not be structured in a way that external validators recognize, causing the schema to be present on the page but not parsed correctly.
- **Schema not yet propagated:** There may be a delay between when OTTO marks a deployment as connected and when the schema is fully live and detectable by external tools.

## How to Identify the Issue on Your Site

1. Navigate to **OTTO SEO → All Sites (SEO Automation)** inside Search Atlas and select the affected site.
2. Review which schema types are deployed on the affected pages.
3. Copy the raw schema JSON from the deployed page by right-clicking the page in a browser, selecting **View Page Source**, and searching for **application/ld+json**.
4. Paste the raw JSON into **validator.schema.org** and review any errors or warnings returned. Pay close attention to field-level errors, as these often indicate the root cause.
5. Also test the live page URL directly in the **Google Rich Results Test** to see whether Google can detect and parse the schema.

## Next Steps

If your schema is still not being detected after reviewing the steps above, please reach out to our support team with the following information so we can investigate further:

- The affected site URL and the specific pages where schema is not being detected
- A screenshot of the OTTO deployment status for the affected pages
- Any errors or warnings returned by **validator.schema.org** or the **Google Rich Results Test**

Our team will review your deployment configuration and work with you to resolve the issue. If you need assistance, please contact us via the chat widget in Search Atlas or reach out to our support team directly.
