## **⏱️ How Long Does a Site Audit Take?**

Site audits at Search Atlas can take anywhere from a **few minutes up to 24 hours** to complete. This is completely normal and expected behavior. The exact duration depends on factors specific to your website and current system load.

Do not be concerned if your audit is still processing after an hour or two — this is part of the normal workflow. You do not need to restart or re-trigger the audit while it is in progress.

## **🔍 What Affects Audit Processing Time?**

The following factors can influence how long your site audit takes to finish:

- **Website size:** Larger sites with hundreds or thousands of pages take significantly longer to crawl than smaller sites.
- **Current system load:** During periods of high platform usage, audits may be queued and processed in sequence, adding to overall wait time.

## **🗺️ Where to Monitor Your Site Audit**

You can check the status of your site audit at any time within the platform. Results will populate automatically once the crawl is complete.

You do not need to keep the page open while the audit runs. The platform processes audits in the background, and your results will be ready when you return.

## **✅ When Your Audit Is Complete**

Once your audit finishes, you will see the full results populated in the platform. If you launched the audit and return the next day to find it complete, that is entirely expected for larger websites.

## **⚠️ When to Be Concerned**

In most cases, your audit will complete on its own within 24 hours. However, you should reach out for support if your audit has shown no progress or status change for more than 24 hours. When escalating, please have the following ready: your project name, the URL of the site being audited, and the approximate time you launched the audit.

If you need further assistance, open the chat widget in the bottom-right corner of the platform and type **human teammate** to be connected with a member of our team.
