If you want to stop OTTO from managing a Google Business Profile (GBP) and remove its automation entirely — without using the Deep Freeze option — this article walks you through the correct steps to fully disconnect OTTO from your GBP project.

# **📋 Before You Start**

- **Deep Freeze vs. Disconnect:** Deep Freeze pauses OTTO activity temporarily. The steps below **permanently disconnect** OTTO from the selected GBP project.
- Disconnecting OTTO will stop all automated actions on that profile, including post scheduling, review responses, and any other active automations.
- Your existing GBP data and content will not be deleted — only the OTTO automation link is removed.

# **🛠️ How to Disconnect OTTO from a Google Business Profile**

1. In the left sidebar, click **OTTO SEO**, then open **SEO Automation** (URL: `/seo-automation-v3`) to open the OTTO SEO dashboard.
2. Locate the GBP project you want to disconnect — for example, **Wafa Masonry** — in your list of active OTTO projects.
3. Click on the project name to open its OTTO configuration panel.
4. Look for the **Disconnect** or **Remove Connection** option within the project settings. This is separate from the Deep Freeze toggle.
5. Confirm the disconnection when prompted. OTTO will immediately stop all automation for that Google Business Profile.

# **✅ Verify the Disconnection**

After completing the steps above, confirm that OTTO has been fully removed:

- Navigate to **Left sidebar → GBP Projects → Overview** (URL: `/gbp-galactic/gbp-projects`).
- Select the affected GBP project from your project list.
- Check that no active OTTO automations are listed for the profile. The project should show as unmanaged by OTTO.
- You can also review **Left sidebar → GBP Projects → My Tasks** to confirm no pending OTTO-generated tasks remain for that location.

# **⚠️ What Happens After Disconnection**

- **Posts:** Scheduled posts created by OTTO will be cancelled. Previously published posts remain live on your GBP.
- **Reviews:** Automated review responses will stop. You can still manage reviews manually via **Left sidebar → Local → Reviews**.
- **Citations:** Any citation work handled under **Left sidebar → Local → Local Citations** continues independently and is not affected by disconnecting OTTO.
- **Media:** Uploaded media in **Left sidebar → Local → Media Library** is retained and unaffected.

# **🔄 Reconnecting OTTO in the Future**

If you decide to use OTTO automation again for this GBP project, you can reconnect at any time from the **OTTO SEO V3** dashboard. Simply locate the project and follow the on-screen setup steps to re-enable automation.
