# **🔍 What the Healthy Pages Metric Actually Measures**

The **Healthy Pages** counter on your OTTO dashboard (**OTTO SEO → All Sites (SEO Automation)**) (for example, **54/157**) shows how many of your tracked pages currently meet all active optimization criteria compared to the total number of pages OTTO is monitoring. A page is counted as flawless only when every optimization task assigned to it has been applied and verified. The remaining pages — in this example, 103 — have at least one outstanding issue according to OTTO's internal scoring, even if those issues are not always visible as actionable cards on the dashboard.

# **❓ Why No Optimizations Appear Despite a Low Flawless Score**

This is the most common source of confusion. The dashboard can show a low flawless count while displaying zero actionable optimization cards. There are four main reasons this happens:

- **Optimizations are already queued or in progress.** OTTO batches and processes tasks automatically. Tasks that have been generated but not yet surfaced as individual cards are still counted in the metric. Refreshing the page or waiting a few minutes will often reveal them.
- **All visible optimizations have been applied.** Once you accept and deploy an optimization, OTTO marks it complete. If no new issues have been detected in the latest crawl cycle, no new cards appear — yet the page may still fall short of the flawless threshold because OTTO is waiting to confirm the change is live and indexed.
- **The crawl has not completed.** OTTO re-evaluates pages on a rolling crawl schedule. During or immediately after a crawl, scores update before new optimization cards are generated. The metric reflects the crawl result; the cards appear once analysis is finished.
- **Keyword reassignment is pending.** When a page's target keyword changes — either manually or through OTTO's automatic reassignment — previous optimization cards are invalidated and new ones are generated fresh. There is a brief window where the page is flagged as non-flawless but no cards are shown yet.

# **📋 How Excluded Pages Affect the Count**

Pages you have manually excluded from OTTO tracking are **removed from the denominator entirely**. If you excluded 10 pages, your total drops from, say, 167 to 157 — so the denominator you see always reflects only actively monitored pages. Excluded pages do **not** count against your flawless score, and OTTO will never generate optimization cards for them. To review or change which pages are excluded, go to **OTTO SEO** in the left sidebar and open **SEO Automation** (`/seo-automation-v3`), open the relevant site, and check the **Pages** tab where exclusion status is listed for each URL.

# **🔄 Understanding Keyword Reassignment and Score Gaps**

OTTO continuously monitors whether each page is ranking for its assigned keyword or drifting toward a different one. When OTTO detects a mismatch, it may reassign the target keyword automatically. After reassignment:

1. All previous optimization cards tied to the old keyword are cleared.
2. OTTO re-analyzes the page against the new keyword's criteria.
3. New optimization cards are generated — this can take up to one full crawl cycle.

During this window the page is marked as non-flawless in the metric, but no actionable cards appear. This is expected behavior and resolves on its own. If a reassignment seems incorrect, you can manually override the target keyword from the page detail view inside **OTTO SEO → All Sites (SEO Automation)**.

# **✅ Steps to Diagnose Your Specific Discrepancy**

1. Navigate to **OTTO SEO** in the left sidebar and open **SEO Automation** (`/seo-automation-v3`) and open your site's OTTO dashboard.
2. Check the **Last Crawled** timestamp at the top of the dashboard. If a crawl is in progress or completed very recently, wait for it to finish and then refresh.
3. Filter the **Pages** tab by **Non-Flawless** to isolate the pages contributing to the gap. Review each page's status column — it will indicate whether it is *Pending Analysis*, *Keyword Reassigned*, *Optimizations Applied – Awaiting Confirmation*, or *Excluded*.
4. If a page shows **Pending Analysis**, no action is needed. Cards will appear once the crawl cycle completes.
5. If a page shows **Optimizations Applied – Awaiting Confirmation**, OTTO is waiting to verify the deployed changes are live. This resolves automatically within 24–48 hours after the change is indexed.
6. If a page shows an unexpected keyword, click the page row, review the assigned keyword, and manually set the correct one if needed.

# **⚡ Quick Tips to Keep Your Flawless Score Accurate**

- Accept and deploy OTTO optimizations promptly — undeployed changes keep a page non-flawless even after cards disappear.
- Review exclusions periodically. Pages accidentally excluded will not receive optimizations and will silently hold down your total tracked count.
- Avoid changing target keywords frequently. Each reassignment resets the analysis cycle and temporarily inflates the non-flawless count.
- Use the **Filters** panel on the Pages tab to sort by issue type and prioritize the highest-traffic non-flawless pages first.
