# **🔍 Overview**

OTTO generates heading optimization recommendations — including H1 length, missing H1 tags, and other heading structure improvements — as part of its on-page SEO analysis. You can export these recommendations as a summary report to share with clients or stakeholders for review and approval before deployment.

# **🧭 How to Access the OTTO Export**

1. Log in to Search Atlas and click **OTTO SEO** in the left sidebar, then open **SEO Automation** (or navigate to **/seo-automation-v3**).
2. Select the **project** you want to export recommendations for.
3. Once inside OTTO, navigate to **Site Audit → Overview** (Website Overview) and locate the **Export to Docs** button. This is typically found near the top of the page, alongside other action controls.
4. Click **Export to Docs** to open the export options.

# **📄 Choosing the Right Export Type**

OTTO offers two export options from the Export to Docs menu:

- **OTTO Summary** — exports a high-level overview of all recommendations OTTO has identified across all SEO categories, including headings. Use this when your client needs a broad snapshot of all suggested optimizations.
- **Work Summary** — exports a detailed breakdown of completed and pending tasks. Use this when your client needs to see which recommendations have already been deployed and which are still pending approval.

For sharing H1 length recommendations and other heading optimizations ahead of deployment, the **OTTO Summary** export is the recommended choice, as it lists all outstanding recommendations your client needs to review.

# **✅ What the Export Includes**

The exported file will contain heading-related recommendations such as:

- H1 length recommendations (too short, too long, or missing)
- Missing or duplicate H1 tags
- H2 and subheading structure suggestions
- Other on-page heading optimizations flagged by OTTO

The export is formatted to be client-readable, making it straightforward to share directly without additional formatting work.

# **💡 Tips for Sharing with Clients**

- Use the **OTTO Summary** export early in the workflow so clients can approve heading changes before you deploy them inside OTTO.
- If your client has already approved some changes and you need to show progress, use the **Work Summary** export instead to distinguish deployed vs. pending items.
- Always download a fresh export immediately before sharing, so the data reflects the most current state of your project.

# **⚠️ Common Navigation Mistake to Avoid**

The export option is **not** located under a Project Dashboard or Deployment Summary section. If you cannot find an export button in those areas, you are in the wrong place. Always return to **OTTO SEO** in the left sidebar, open your project, navigate to **Site Audit → Overview** (Website Overview), and use the **Export to Docs** button directly from that page.
