# **🔍 Why OTTO SEO Shows 0 Deploys**

OTTO SEO uses a **two-step workflow**: first you generate suggestions, then you deploy them. If you see 0 deploys, it almost always means suggestions have not yet been generated, or they are waiting to be reviewed and deployed. Engaging OTTO SEO does not automatically push changes to your site — you need to complete both steps manually.

# **🗺️ Step 1 — Open OTTO SEO**

1. Log in to Search Atlas.
2. In the left sidebar, click **OTTO SEO**, then open **SEO Automation**. The URL will change to **/seo-automation-v3**.
3. Select the website you want to work on from the property selector at the top of the page.
4. Confirm that OTTO SEO is shown as **Engaged** for that property.

# **✨ Step 2 — Generate Suggestions**

1. Inside the OTTO SEO dashboard, locate the **Generate Suggestions** button or the relevant task category (for example, Title Tags, Meta Descriptions, or Schema).
2. Click **Generate** for each category you want OTTO to analyse. OTTO will crawl your pages and produce a list of recommended changes.
3. Wait for generation to complete — a progress indicator will show when OTTO is working. This can take a few minutes depending on the size of your site.
4. Once complete, the suggestions panel will populate with individual recommendations for each page.

**Important:** OTTO SEO must finish generating suggestions before the Deploy option becomes available. If you skip this step, the deploy counter will remain at 0.

# **🚀 Step 3 — Deploy Generated Suggestions**

1. Review the suggestions listed in the OTTO SEO dashboard. You can approve all suggestions at once or select specific ones to deploy.
2. Click **Deploy** next to individual suggestions, or use the **Deploy All** option to push all approved recommendations live.
3. OTTO SEO will apply the changes directly to your connected site. The deploy counter will increment for each successful change.
4. Refresh the dashboard after a moment to confirm the updated deploy count.

# **⚠️ Common Reasons for 0 Deploys**

- **Suggestions not yet generated:** You engaged OTTO but never clicked Generate. Return to the dashboard and run generation for each task category.
- **Suggestions pending review:** Suggestions were generated but not yet deployed. Open each category, review the recommendations, and click Deploy.
- **No pages crawled:** OTTO could not access your site. Check that your website URL is correct and that OTTO has been granted the necessary site access or plugin permissions.
- **Website not connected:** If the site integration (WordPress plugin or DNS verification) is incomplete, OTTO can generate suggestions but cannot deploy them. Verify your site connection in the account settings.
- **Suggestions filtered out:** Active filters on the dashboard may be hiding suggestions. Clear any status or page filters to see all available items.

# **✅ Troubleshooting Checklist**

- OTTO SEO status shows **Engaged** for the correct property.
- You have clicked **Generate** inside at least one task category.
- Generation has fully completed — no spinner or progress bar is visible.
- You have clicked **Deploy** on one or more suggestions.
- Your site connection (plugin or DNS) is active and verified.
- No dashboard filters are hiding pending suggestions.
- You have refreshed the page after deploying to see the updated counter.
